- Longview Vineyard Pty. Ltd - General Management -
Corinna Steeb of Rubys CBS Contracting was appointed to firstly conduct a gap analysis of the business to identify
the missing elements that were required to generate a comprehensive IM. Second, prepare the Vineyard, Winery,
Function and Tourism Centre for investment or a trade sale. Business was successfully sold in Jan 2008.
- BioAngels (SA) - Executive Support -
BioAngels is a not-for profit organisation, comprising private equity investors who invest in start-up
companies predominately in Life Sciences. The 20 members of the group have collectively made ten investments,
totaling over $2.8M. Rubys CBS Contracting is engaged in the support role of Executive Officer to source, screen
and manage potential investment deals and to liaise between the investor and investee. The role is carried out by
Corinna Steeb who is also responsible for managing the investment selection process; conduct some market assessment
and validation of the financial proposition of the deal. The position also requires interaction with PE‘s, VC‘s or
seed fund managers for syndication and co-investment and liaise with relevant government agencies and industry bodies
including Innovate SA, BioInnovation SA, DTED.
- Hahndorf Business and Tourism Association - Executive Support -
The Hahndorf Business and Tourism Association (HB&T) represents 140 plus retailers and traders in the Adelaide Hills.
Hahndorf is the oldest surviving German settlement in SA. With over 800,000 peoples visiting this historic town each year,
Hahndorf is the 6th most visited place in SA. Corinna Steeb has been engaged to assist the HB&T to re-brand this historic
thus developing a business plan and marketing strategy consistent and congruent with the new brand. Further, to implement
sound governance practices and assist the organization to become more professional in its operation.
- Contech CPI Construction Products - Industrial Project Management -
The US based company Contech CPI whished to significantly reduce tooling change-over time for their large stormwater pipe
manufacturing plant in Arizona. Rubys CBS Contracting was engaged to work inside the manufacturing plant and with the production
team to bring about significant manufacturing throughput increases. Frank Samson worked with the plant manufacturing engineers
and operators, local (US based) engineering firms and plant management to successfully implement tooling change improvements and
operator training.
- Hero Engineering - Interim Operations Management -
Hero Engineering is a consolidated entity which oversees the operation of 4 engineering businesses attracting mainly projects
in construction, housing and structural engineering. The company had large orders of product destined for accommodation
construction for the Gorgon LNG project and the product was subject to stringent quality and timeline requirements by the
principal (Chevron). Rubys CBS Contracting was engaged to help improve the output of transportable building steel chassis
per shift, implementing stock control, streamlined purchasing, improving quality control and introducing safety management.
